As a key service provider to the Swiss meat industry, we ensure that animal by-products are processed safely, responsibly, and sustainably. Our work helps safeguard a reliable food supply while protecting people, animals, and the environment. What marks the end of one process for others is the beginning of a new cycle for us. Using state-of-the-art technology, we process around 90,000 tonnes of animal by-products each year, transforming them into valuable energy resources. What was once considered waste becomes carbon-neutral fuel and energy – turning responsibility into sustainability. Our role extends far beyond processing. We fulfill an important public service by collecting and disposing of animal carcasses from eleven Swiss cantons, supporting the agricultural sector, and ensuring emergency preparedness in the event of animal disease outbreaks. In doing so, we make a vital contribution to Switzerland’s public health, biosecurity, and supply resilience. We also believe in making the most of every resource. Through the Wärme Lyss Nord district heating network, the waste heat generated by our production processes provides sustainable energy to the surrounding region. This initiative reduces carbon emissions by approximately 3,000 tonnes of CO₂ every year, demonstrating that industrial excellence and climate responsibility can go hand in hand.
