Bicycle tyres from A to Z have been the cornerstone of Arthur Rüegg Fahrzeug-Zubehör AG’s history for around 50 years. But how did it all begin?
It was in 1964 that the company was founded on 1 November by Arthur Rüegg, the father of the current managing director, Jürg Rüegg. From the very beginning, the enterprising founder dedicated himself to the two-wheeler industry, supplying specialist retailers in German-speaking Switzerland with bicycle and moped spare parts.
In 1975 and 1976, motorcycling came back into fashion and, through great dedication, Arthur Rüegg succeeded in establishing himself as a competent point of contact for motorbike tyres. In 1991, the business expanded into bicycle tyres, and four years later the sole trader was converted into a public limited company (AG).
Today, Arthur Rüegg Fahrzeug-Zubehör AG is the go-to supplier for two-wheeler tyres and, as a wholesaler, supplies specialist retailers throughout Switzerland. In addition to the imported Continental brand, the company offers all leading tyre brands for two-wheelers.
Even in the present day, which is certainly not immune to change, Arthur Rüegg Fahrzeug-Zubehör AG remains true to its core values of tyre expertise, teamwork, innovation and customer focus. And this will continue to be the case in the future.
