Test Manager Profile

The role

You are taking over an important Test Manager role within a leading solutions provider for Treasuries and Capital Markets divisions of banks and corporates.
You will be working in a dedicated and flexible team to support software development project activities, acting in highly specialized work groups composed of internal resources and third parties dedicated to the design, implementation and execution of tests according to advanced and innovative methodologies.

 

Job responsibilities

• Define strategies and provide support for test cases design, data preparation and environment management, evaluating risks and impacts to choose the better approach and solutions


• Plan and coordinate test activities, monitoring and reporting defects and results


• Keep relationships with internal stakeholders (Project Manager, Business Analyst, Development Team, Release Manager)


• Oversees the development of test automation solutions


• Develop and automate tests for software validation


• Pursuit the highest level of quality, proposing process improvements


• Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identifying possible solutions


• Collaborates with other professionals to ensure high quality deliverables within organization guidelines, policies, and procedures

Profile requirements

• 3+ years as a Test Manager in software houses or consulting firms (better if operating in financial or banking sector)


• Previous experience as a Test Automation Engineer


• Solid knowledge of testing processes, approaches and methodologies


• Knowledge of main software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall and so on)


• Comprehensive understanding of configuration and release management subjects


• Knowledge of ISTQB standards


• Proven working experience using main tools for test management, automation, performance and monitoring (e.g. Test Complete, Test Management for Jira)


• Knowledge of SQL, DBMS and data structure


• Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills


• Good team player, patience, motivated and independent


• Attention to detail and interest to Quality Assurance thematic


• Approach to continuous improvement


• Fluent in Italian and English

Nice to have

• BSc or MSc in Computer Engineering/Science or related field.


• ISTQB certifications or equivalent may be helpful


• Familiarity with ISO 9001/27001 principles


• Knowledge of design patterns and frameworks (i.e. Angular, HTML 5, low-code platforms)


• Knowledge of programming languages in a departmental environment (e.g. JAVA, PYTON, C ++)
