For motivated candidates we offer the chance to belong to one of the world’s largest producers and marketers of commodities and to be part of a specialized, international, and dynamic team within the Ferroalloys / Nickel Department. Experience with sustainability-related reporting requirements and the associated data analysis and assurance is one of the core responsibilities of the position.

The main tasks and responsibilities include

  • Coordinate responsible sourcing supply chain due diligence on new and existing counterparties including from a human rights, modern slavery and environmental perspective
  • Compile and analyse mandatory supplier documentation, such as transaction forms
  • Proactively identify red flags / material risks that require escalation through desktop research and continuous engagement with relationship owners
  • Produce regular reports on key sustainability KPIs
  • Liaise and maintains relationship with other departments across the group – HSEC, legal, compliance, communications to facilitate and advance the due diligence process
  • Support the monitoring of upcoming sustainability-related reporting requirements
  • Work with the team manager and team members on various sustainability projects and enquiries

  • able to work in a dynamic, as well as entrepreneurial and performance driven environment
  • confident to work with managers of various levels of seniority both internal to Glencore and externally

Qualifications and requirements

  • Academic educational background, study completed preferably in the field of sustainability (environmental, social), economics, accounting or similar analytical background 
  • Relevant working experience (e.g., in responsible sourcing, supply chain due diligence, compliance or Know Your Client) is a benefit
  • Interest in sustainability topics
  • Fluent in English (corporate language), any additional language is a benefit, but not essential
  • Very good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good know-how in using IT applications (e.g., MS Office)
  • Holding a Swiss work permit or passport holder of CH / EU
