As an Order & Material Specialist within Product Line Supply Chain Management, you are responsible for the timely operational procurement of direct materials (raw materials, components and semi-finished products, etc.), whereby the fulfilment of customer needs has top priority. For highly cyclical and project-driven requirements, you guarantee high availability with an optimal stock in order to achieve our set goals. The planning and monitoring of customer orders is a central activity of this responsible position.

Respecting our VAT values, you work very closely with suppliers, our production plants, Global Category Management and other functions from Operations and your colleagues from the other departments.

In cooperation with the Product Line Supply Chain Team, you support the entire sourcing process (evaluation up to award) including conducting project-specific negotiations with suppliers in the quotation and execution phase and optimizing costs and lead-time in projects.
Support of the Product Line Supply Chain Teams in claim and corrective measures with suppliers.
Maintaining contact with stakeholders to consider their needs in your daily work. Active involvement in the further development of Product Line Supply Chain Management in order to continuously identify potential for improvement

YOUR CHALLENGES

  • Collaborate with Product Line Supply Chain Leaders and Supply Specialist to identify and ensure supply needs
  • Requirements and tender planning for the respective projects
  • Planning and Dispatching Customer orders within Assembly Department
  • Execution of orders, from the evaluation of offers to the ordering process
  • Responsible for item/article planning
  • Evaluation of offers and order confirmation
  • Rolling assessment and adaption of frame contracts
  • Single Point of Contact for customer orders
  • Placing orders for all technically approved products (serial parts) according to demand cockpit and procurement pool, monitoring and, if necessary, escalating orders
  • Communication, coordination and negotiation with existing and future suppliers involved in the project
  • Active role in materials management in cooperation with other product line teams also and beyond the actual project area
  • Support in forecasting for planning future orders
  • Continuous data maintenance in applied ERP systems (article and other master data, etc.)
  • Proactive order monitoring and management of missing parts including reporting (internal/external), as well as use of the escalation process
  • Management of the assigned articles and suppliers according to economic aspects. Ongoing audit of management type (Kanban, Dispo, order-related)
  • Ensure high availability, with optimal inventory
  • Cross-departmental coordination and meetings to ensure the required delivery reliability.

YOUR COMPETENCIES

  • At least 3 years of experience in the field of materials management, operational and/or project purchasing in a cyclical industry such as semiconductor technology or similar
  • An excellent technical training as a process specialist / technician or similar whereby a further degree in economics is of advantage
  • Sociable, team-oriented and communicative personality
  • You like to work in a team and subordinate yourself to the team spirit
  • You are flexible and can get involved in new requirements at any time
  • You pursue pragmatic approaches and proceed in a structured, analytical and solution-oriented manner
  • A high resilience, confident appearance and adequate assertiveness
  • Good ERP/MRP skills (MS Dynamics 365, SAP, PSS etc.)
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Word)
  • Very good German language skills and good English language skills
