For our client, a multinational biotechnology company in Solothurn, we are currently looking for a motivated Manufacturing Associate, working in shifts.

The assignment will be temporary for the next 12 months, to start as soon as possible. Depending on the performance and motivation, the possibility of an extension or permanent takeover is given.

Description

The Manufacturing Scientist (m/f/d) will be responsible for the following task area:

Laboratory Studies:

  • Execute and document purification and filtration experiments in the GMS laboratory.
  • Support tech transfer, manufacturing investigations, and process improvement projects.
  • Analyze lab study samples and data.
  • Author reports to document study outcomes.
  • Communicate study results to management and project teams.
  • Depending on the level of experience, the responsibilities might get adapted.

GMS Lab Operations:

  • Manage samples and data.
  • Handle reagents and consumables.
  • Prepare buffers and solutions.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.

Cross-Functional Team Support:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on manufacturing scale projects.
  • Author investigation and validation protocols and reports.
  • Develop and manage sample plans as required.
  • Support TT, process investigations, CAPA, or change control implementations.

Profile

In order to be considered for the role, the selected candidate must have:

  • Apprenticeship, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in Bioprocess Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or a closely allied discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience.
  • Strong experience in operating lab-scale purification and filtration systems.
  • Technical knowledge and experience in biomanufacturing and/or process development.
  • Proficiency with data workflows and analytics is beneficial.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
