Responsibilities

You want to work outdoors rather than sit inside and are fascinated by construction sites, tracks, and technology – then training in the field of civil engineering is just right for you!

From 01.09.2027, we are looking for you for the two-year training as a Civil Engineering Specialist (m/f/d) for DB InfraGO AG in Aachen, Bonn, Brühl, Euskirchen, Kerpen, Cologne, Leverkusen, or Troisdorf. The vocational school and training workshop are located in Kerpen.

What to expect in your training:

You work with your team on the maintenance of structural facilities

Together you check and inspect components of bridges and crossings

With the help of modern machines, you renew foundations and components

In addition, you take care of reworking and repairing construction surfaces

During your training as a Civil Engineering Specialist, you are already an important part of the team and ensure every day that our trains travel safely

Qualifications

Your profile:

You have (soon) successfully completed school and your school leaving certificate is recognised in Germany

Your German language skills correspond to at least the B2 level

Sitting at a desk is not for you – you prefer to work outdoors

You are motivated and reliable

You enjoy teamwork and like to lend a hand

Different workplaces and working hours as well as night shifts are a welcome change for you

Attractive remuneration

Depending on the year of training, between 1,324 euros and 1,531 euros per month plus Christmas bonus. * Salary amounts are valid from 01.07.2026. The employment conditions apply to the vast majority of trainees in the DB Group.

For the success of your training, we offer the best conditions: You will receive a mobile device from us that you can use for learning and also privately.

Car driving licence
