The Office for the Enforcement of Sentences (AJV) Graubünden is a department of the Department of Justice, Security and Health of the Canton of Graubünden. The AJV is responsible for the enforcement of sentences and measures as well as the implementation of various types of detention. In Graubünden, the enforcement of sentences and measures is regulated as a unified field and holistic task, in which various professional groups work interdisciplinarily with offenders to prevent further delinquency.

The Correctional Facility (JVA) Cazis Tignez employs around 110 staff and has 150 detention places in closed custody. Of these, 100 are in normal custody, ten in the admission department, 28 in special custody and twelve in pre-trial detention.

We are looking for a Cook to start immediately or by arrangement.

Your area of responsibility

• Leadership, care and guidance of assigned detainees according to work-pedagogical principles
• Support of the kitchen team in all matters of the respective area of responsibility depending on the shift between 06:00 and 18:00 in a 7-day operation
• Co-responsibility for a rational, varied and healthy preparation of meals for detainees and staff
• Compliance with and implementation of hygiene regulations
• Care of the staff canteen and assistance with events and catering for visitors and groups
• Promotion of detainees in their professional and social development

What we expect from you

• Completed vocational training as a cook with a federal certificate of competence (EFZ) and several years of professional experience
• You are motivated to guide and care for people in the enforcement environment according to work-pedagogical principles
• Balanced, team-oriented, resilient and flexible personality with high social competence
• Good German skills (at least C1); additional knowledge of cantonal and foreign languages is an advantage
• Willingness to complete training as a specialist in the enforcement of sentences
• Impeccable character (no entries in the criminal record or debt enforcement register)
