What you can achieve

• Applying and wiring strain gauges (DMS) as well as other sensors
• Preparing components and manufacturing application tools
• Balancing and calibrating DMS measuring bridges
• Calibrating and maintaining measurement/electronic systems
• Manufacturing and maintaining cabling
• Providing measurement and control systems for wind tunnel tests
• Commissioning, functional testing and support of measurement chains as well as documenting test measurement technology

What you bring with you

• Completed training as a micromechanic, precision mechanic, watchmaker, automation technician, electronics technician, mechatronics technician or equivalent
• Several years of professional experience in the application of bare strain gauges (DMS) and DMS-based sensors
• Strong fine mechanical skills as well as basic electrical engineering knowledge are an advantage
• Very good German and good English skills, both spoken and written
• Precise and quality-conscious working method, partly under the microscope
• Patient and persistent personality with a high quality standard for accuracy and documentation

The Aerodynamics department manufactures strain gauge-based wind tunnel balances with the highest demands on accuracy and quality and has established itself as a world market leader in this field.
Through work in the wind tunnel, employees are at the forefront of the development of aircraft, vehicles and motorsport.
