About the job
The Watercourses Department of the March district is responsible for flowing waters. This area of responsibility essentially includes water construction policing, hydropower utilisation, watercourse constructions, revitalisations, flood protection, and supervision of the weir system.
The electorate of March has assigned new tasks to the district in the areas of flood protection and weir management. It is now necessary to establish new structures so that the March district can implement these new tasks.
For this demanding and interesting task, we are looking for, by agreement, a
Project Manager Watercourses (m/f), 80% - 100%
In an initial phase, your active participation in the development and design of structures for the reorganisation of flood protection is required.
Your future core tasks:
In this demanding role, you will organise and accompany construction and maintenance measures on flowing waters together with the weir keepers. Leading and accompanying flood protection and revitalisation projects from initial feasibility studies through to realisation (including land acquisition) and on to subsidy and accounting also form part of the responsibilities. In doing so, legal and engineering requirements are coordinated with the concerns of various interest groups to develop balanced, feasible solutions. Furthermore, you will support the Head of Watercourses in assessing building applications for technical interventions and structural changes to flowing waters, as well as in handling concession applications for hydropower utilisation and material extraction.
What you bring:
For this responsible position, you have a basic technical construction education with further training (ideally in water construction/watercourse renaturation or civil engineering site management) and can look back on several years of professional experience. You are familiar with public-law procedures and are accustomed to implementing projects. Personal qualities such as assertiveness, sociability, negotiation skills, and reliability ensure your acceptance at all levels.
