The Patient Transport Service is the link in the care chain. Its mission is to ensure the transport of patients by bed, chair or on foot to operating theatres, technical platforms and care units. It ensures comfort, safety and respect for deadlines to guarantee smooth and coordinated care. It also handles the transport of biological samples and blood products.

The Patient Transport Service operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, performing on average 1,000 transports per day, 300 transports on weekends.

Job Description

At the heart of the patient journey, you ensure the transport of patients within the institution, ensuring their comfort and safety while respecting hygiene standards and deadlines.

This role includes a significant human dimension in supporting the patient. Your listening skills and kindness allow you to establish a climate of trust. Each journey thus becomes an individualised care thanks to your interpersonal skills.

You also intervene in the urgent transport of medical equipment, pharmaceutical products and biological and blood samples. You rigorously check their proper packaging as well as the conformity of identification data.

Your adaptability and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams ensure smooth coordination of activities and a high level of quality, even in unforeseen situations.

Through your commitment, sense of service and empathy, you contribute concretely to providing quality services in a calm, secure hospital environment focused on patient well-being.

Qualifications

You are a student, preferably in nursing, physiotherapy or medicine.

A first successful experience in personal care is a valuable asset.

You hold a driving licence for light vehicles.

Your interpersonal ease and empathy allow you to guarantee the comfort and safety of patients during their transport. You have experience working in multidisciplinary teams while being able to work independently. You have demonstrated a strong ability to communicate and adapt to varied situations in the past.

Your attitude is resolutely positive and service- and patient well-being-oriented, combined with great discernment, even in the most delicate situations. You show discretion and strictly respect confidentiality rules.

Excellent command of French, both spoken and written, is accompanied by a natural ease with communication tools such as emails and mobile phones.

Finally, you have a good sense of direction and good physical condition, essential for accompanying patients on foot or ensuring their transport by chair and bed, involving pulling, pushing or handling equipment safely.
