About the job
At Endress+Hauser, progress happens through collaboration. As a world-leading provider of measuring instruments, our approximately 17,000 employees shape the future in the field of process automation. Whether innovating and implementing new technologies as a team, collaborating in the development of new devices, or strengthening important relationships with various global industries: our work is based on building trusting relationships that help everyone succeed. As a family-run company, we look beyond short-term goals and work to create a future-oriented vision for our employees, our customers, and the world in general.
For our location, we are looking for a Specialist in Electrical Engineering & Building Automation (m/f/d) to further develop our technical systems and shape building automation with a future focus.
What is this position about?
Actively shape the future of intelligent buildings. At Endress+Hauser, you will take on a central role in the further development of our modern building and energy infrastructure. You will ensure that our technical systems are operated reliably, safely, and energy-efficiently, while simultaneously advancing innovative projects in the areas of building automation and digitalisation.
In an international industrial environment, you can expect a varied and demanding range of tasks. You will have the opportunity to develop and implement sustainable solutions that have a direct impact on energy efficiency, operational safety, and the long-term performance of our infrastructure.
If you are passionate about electrical engineering, building automation, and digital technologies and want to take responsibility in a future-oriented environment, we look forward to meeting you.
What tasks will you undertake?
You will:
- plan, operate, and continuously develop the electrical systems and building automation – with the aim of safe, stable, and energy-efficient system operation
- take responsibility for safety-relevant systems such as fire alarm systems, intrusion alarm systems, emergency lighting, and backup power systems, ensuring their flawless function
- independently implement and technically support projects in electrical engineering, building automation, and energy optimisation – from conception to commissioning
- act as a technical interface between electrical engineering, IT/OT, and external service providers, ensuring smooth system integration
- apply, further develop, and use digital systems and tools in the field of building management technology and energy monitoring to optimise operational management
- actively participate in the integration and networking of building technology systems – especially in the interplay of electrical engineering, MSRL technology, and HVAC systems
We also welcome applications from candidates who do not fully meet all requirements but wish to develop further in the direction of building automation.
What do we expect from you?
You:
- have training in electrical engineering with further education (HF/FH or equivalent) or corresponding practical experience
- bring experience in the operation, maintenance, or projects of technical systems
- are interested in building automation, digitalisation, and energy-efficient solutions
- think analytically, act solution-oriented, and gladly take responsibility
- are willing to participate in on-call duty (approximately every 7 weeks)
- communicate confidently in German; English skills are an advantage
What can you expect from us?
- We are a family company with great commitment and a sustainable vision.
- We promote lifelong learning through diverse training and further education opportunities, internal knowledge transfer, and e-learning.
- We support your work-life balance with flexible working hours.
- We offer support for sustainable mobility solutions such as public transport.
- We promote family-friendly policies, including childcare places and childcare services during holidays.
