Your Role

At one of the 15 day care locations in the city of St. Gallen, you will support the group leaders as a civil service volunteer in the daily care of children aged 4 – 13 years. Your main task is to assist in caring for the children (e.g. playing indoors and outdoors, helping with homework, shared meals, crafting, storytelling). You will also perform organisational and domestic tasks (e.g. setting and clearing tables, assisting in the kitchen, disposing of waste properly) and carry out small maintenance jobs. If necessary, you will also participate in team meetings or supervisions.

The deployment lasts at least six months. The working hours are 42 hours per week; weekend and night work do not apply. During the deployment, the courses "Care of Children 1", "Care of Children 2" and "Communication and Care" are mandatory.
