The Documentary Credits Officer is responsible for processing and all operations related to documentary credits and associated instruments (import/export documentary credits, incoming and outgoing documentary collections, commercial guarantees, etc.) for a client portfolio.
As such, their main responsibilities are:
- Ensure non-client activity if necessary
- Provide technical support to clients, Relationship Managers, and internal teams (notably Financial Institutions)
- Maintain a regular professional relationship with clients in collaboration with the RMs
- Inform Relationship Managers of any developments impacting their clients (following documentary operations)
- Ensure compliance with rules, procedures, and standards related to documentary operations
- Banking training or equivalent (banking CFC, maturity or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years in a bank, ideally specialized in Commodity Trade Finance
- Excellent technical mastery of documentary operations (theoretical and practical)
- Good knowledge of regulations and rules related to trade finance
- Very good organization, ability to prioritize and work independently
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluency in French and ease with IT tools
- Team spirit
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and international environment
