The Centre for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy Inpatient is part of the Clinic for Adult Psychiatry and Psychotherapy of the PDAG (Clinic Director Prof. Dr. med. Marc Walter). It is responsible for modern acute psychiatric treatment of people between 18 and 64 years, which includes biological, psychotherapeutic and social medical interventions and is based on Open-Doors and No-Restraint concepts. The centre is jointly led by Dr. med. Maxim Zavorotnyy and Simone Meister, Head of Nursing, and comprises five wards. There is close networking with Interventional Psychiatry. For doctors, the centre is an SIWF-recognised training centre for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy Category A inpatient (3 years) and for Interventional Psychiatry (rTMS and ECT).
Profile
- You have a completed degree or training in occupational therapy (BSc, FH, HF)
- You have professional experience in the same or a comparable environment and ideally have clinical experience in the field of psychiatry
- Preferably, you have experience in conducting therapeutic interventions in psychosis treatment and/or social psychiatry. Or you have a special interest in the subject and are open to further training in it
- In-depth knowledge of occupational therapy models and their assessments is desired
- You think and act in a networked and systemic way, work innovatively, independently and in a team-oriented manner
Tasks
- You conduct individual and group therapies for people with mental health problems aged 18 to 64 in the acute and subacute inpatient psychiatric setting
- You bear the occupational therapy responsibility and are the first point of contact for two wards with the above-mentioned focuses
- You implement occupational therapy treatment (focusing on social psychiatry and psychosis treatment) in an evidence-based and needs-oriented manner. You maintain professionally sound documentation
- You proactively contribute to the conceptual further development of occupational therapy treatment on the specialised ward
- You are part of the intra- and interprofessional team and actively participate in the implementation of therapeutic goals within the overall treatment
- You contribute professionally, including in interprofessional reports, team meetings and supervisions
