Job Overview
The Production Planner is a key position within the Operations team, supporting the start-up (Site Ramp Up) and ongoing success of production in a newly established, state-of-the-art facility in Zug, CH. The Production Planner should have extensive experience in planning production and assembly areas. They work closely with the Production Manager and rough planning as well as logistics to ensure that equipment and machines are optimally utilised and supply security to the customer is guaranteed. This position offers an exciting opportunity for growth and development.
Main Responsibilities
- Plan and prioritise injection moulding and assembly equipment to optimise utilisation and meet customer expectations.
- Collaborate with Business Development/IT to improve planning systems (APS, MES, SAP, etc.).
- Coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure raw material inventory is available for production of the required volume.
- Work with the Production Manager, injection moulding production, assembly and logistics to ensure smooth operations.
- Check inventory using SAP, EWM and MES (Manufacturing Execution System) as well as PowerBI dashboards.
- Support monthly stocktaking to ensure accurate inventory.
- Utilise and understand the networking of our production systems (e.g. SAP, MES, APS, Servus, Motan, etc.).
- Monitor and escalate any inventory shortages. Proactively communicate to the Production Manager and site management.
- Act as a creative and cooperative member of the production team to ensure the continued success of plant operations.
- Maintain master data with the plant’s Master Data Team to ensure all bill of materials and routing information on all components and finished production SKUs (Stock Keeping Units) are correct.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- At least 2-3 years of planning and monitoring for a highly automated injection moulding and assembly operation
- Above-average knowledge of SAP and MES systems (comprehensive knowledge highly preferred)
- Excellent communication skills
- Written and spoken proficiency at B2 level in German and English
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a highly regulated industry is highly preferred
- Cross-functional operational experience
