About the job
Our Protestant parish with around 2500 members is located in Hinterthurgau and includes the two political municipalities of Münchwilen and Eschlikon. Together with a deaconess who also performs pastoral duties, a social deacon responsible for youth work, as well as other employees and volunteers, we carry the vision within us: People should experience God's love, be able to grow in their faith, and experience encouraging community. From 1 June 2027 or by arrangement, we are looking for a pastor (80-100 %).
We look forward to a personality who proclaims God and His Son Jesus Christ, strengthens faith, and builds bridges between generations. Together we want to be a church that is rooted in the Gospel, conveys hope, and accompanies people in life.
We wish for a pastor who
- lives in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and draws motivation from it
- proclaims the Gospel understandably, relevantly, and biblically sound
- maintains proven traditions while also setting new impulses
- likes to take responsibility and loves teamwork at the same time
- enjoys church development, discipleship, and intergenerational work
- approaches people openly, both church-affiliated and non-church-affiliated
- actively shapes relationships with schools, authorities, churches, and associations
- inspires, accompanies, and networks people
You bring with you
- a recognised theological education
- joy in the pastoral profession and working with people
- experience in pastoral office or a comparable church activity
- organisational skills, initiative, and ability to work in a team
What you can expect from us
- motivated employees and volunteers who actively shape their community
- appreciative collaboration with employees and church council
- freedom to contribute your own talents, ideas, and priorities
- modern infrastructure and short decision-making paths
