Training to become a Dipl. Registered Nurse HF

Duration of training

We offer you two options: the three-year course to become a diploma-registered nurse HF builds on completion of upper secondary level II, and the two-year course builds on a FaGe EFZ.

Professional profile

As a diploma-registered nurse HF (specialisations: somatics and child and adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy), you are responsible for the care and support of people of all ages, in various physical and/or mental conditions and in different social environments. You act as a central point of contact with various professionals and promote the best recovery process for patients.

Furthermore, our trainees have access to the learning workshop, and self-organised learning takes place on the wards – with the learning offer KoLeG (Cooperative Learning Group)

Requirements for the three-year course

• Specialised secondary school or gymnasial Matura or

• Completion of at least a 3-year vocational training EFZ (preferably in a medical or related profession) and

• passed aptitude assessment at the Careum Education Centre or at the ZAG including a two-day aptitude internship

Requirements for the two-year course

• Completion of FaGe EFZ
• passed aptitude assessment at the Careum Education Centre or at the ZAG including a two-day aptitude internship
