Your area of responsibility
- Together with the ICT infrastructure team and the managed services partners, you ensure the stable, secure, and high-performance operation of our server and storage environment.
- You monitor our
server infrastructure including CPU/RAM/disk usage in collaboration with our
managed services partners, manage and
coordinate security and OS patching, and initiate necessary measures in case of anomalies. - You operate and maintain our virtualization and storage platform (e.g., VMware vSphere/vCenter, NetApp storage) in close cooperation with
our managed services partners. - You manage and coordinate the managed service partner for the operation and further development
of our backup and recovery solutions, conduct
restore and recovery tests together, and thus ensure the availability of our systems. - You plan and implement the provisioning of new Windows servers (core servers according to specifications) and Unix servers/appliances – from conception to commissioning.
- You work closely with network specialists in the ICT infrastructure team (e.g., zoning/firewall rules) and support all projects in configuring application servers.
- You are willing to perform on-call duty.
- You take over the application or technical responsibility (APV/TAV) for selected infrastructure and specialist systems, e.g., in the areas of load
balancing, email/collaboration, databases, IAM, BI, and RIS systems. - You actively shape the transformation towards
managed services: You evaluate which services
can be outsourced, coordinate the
implementation with external partners, and ensure a clean handover and documentation. - You bring your experience into projects, independently lead
smaller initiatives, and contribute to
larger ICT and digitization projects.
Your skills
- Completed training in IT (e.g., IT specialist EFZ, system technician), ideally with further education HF/FH or comparable qualification.
- Several years of experience operating Windows server environments and virtualization (ideally VMware vSphere/vCenter).
- Experience with storage and backup solutions (e.g., NetApp, Veeam) as well as a good understanding of
high availability and recovery concepts. - Ideally experience working with managed service providers and sourcing external ICT services.
- Knowledge of some of the following technologies is an advantage: Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, SQL AlwaysOn, IAM systems, load balancers,
monitoring, BI/reporting systems. - Structured, responsible, and
security-oriented working style – especially when handling critical hospital and health data. - Enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration with network, client, application, medical technology, and project teams.
- High service orientation, hands-on mentality, and willingness to take responsibility and drive topics forward.
- Very good German language skills in spoken and written form
