Junior Control-M Platform Engineer

As a Junior Control-M Engineer, you support the reliable control and monitoring of central workloads. Step by step, you take on more responsibility for the technical support of BMC Control-M while simultaneously building expertise in Informatica PowerCenter. Experienced colleagues will accompany you in your professional development. Depending on your interests, additional development opportunities arise in the areas of IT Service Management, Monitoring or Databases.

YOUR TASKS

• You support the stable, secure and reliable operation of the BMC Control-M platform and gradually take responsibility for its technical support.
• You keep an eye on the availability and technical condition of the platform, analyse disruptions and assist in their sustainable resolution.
• You actively participate in installations, updates, patches and other lifecycle activities.
• You actively support the secure configuration of the platform, the management of permissions and the compliance with security and operational standards.
• You continuously expand your knowledge in Informatica PowerCenter and ensure technical deputising together with the responsible engineer.
• You handle incidents, service requests and changes in a structured manner and document technical solutions as well as operational processes comprehensibly.
• Together with specialist and IT teams, you ensure stable workflows and reliable processing of business-critical processes.
• Depending on your interest and development, you additionally contribute to topics around IT Service Management, Monitoring or Databases.

YOUR PROFILE

• Completed training or studies in computer science, business informatics or a comparable field, ideally with a focus on system engineering, databases or IT operations.
• Initial experience in operating enterprise platforms, scheduling solutions or comparable IT systems is an advantage.
• Very good German and English skills in spoken and written form (at least level C1/B2). Understanding Swiss German is an advantage.
