Training to become a certified paramedic HF

Protection & Rescue unites, as a service department of the Security Department, the professional and militia fire brigade, the medical service, and the operations control centre for emergency calls 118 and 144. In addition, civil protection, fire police, and a training centre with an affiliated Higher Technical School for Rescue Professions belong to the largest rescue organisation in Switzerland. Intervention and prevention units protect and rescue people, animals, property, and the environment around the clock in the city of Zurich, at Zurich Airport, and in the agglomeration.

Tasks

We train you to become a rescue professional! You will gain practical know-how in our rescue service, and theoretical expertise will be imparted to you at our Higher Technical School for Rescue Professions by experienced lecturers and specialists.

Profile

Completion of secondary level II (training with a federal vocational certificate EFZ or Matura/technical college diploma)
Completion as a certified nurse HF (for the shortened training)
Age from 21 years
Impeccable character (criminal record and IVZ)
Impeccable special private extract (must be available at the start of training)
Very good oral and written German skills
Physical, psychological and social suitability/resilience
Driving licence category B with two years of driving experience and category C1/D1, code 121 (must be available at the start of training)
