The opportunity
Join the Product Evaluation & Qualification team at Hitachi Energy Semiconductors in Lenzburg.
You will play a key role in developing, integrating, and commissioning advanced electrical test systems used for the characterization, validation, and qualification of power semiconductor devices and modules.
In this role, you will design, integrate, and commission electrical test solutions while collaborating with experts across R&D, laboratories, and external partners.
To strengthen our laboratory and test infrastructure capabilities, we are looking for a highly motivated engineer who enjoys combining system thinking with hands-on engineering.
This role offers broad exposure to power electronics, laboratory infrastructure, and product qualification activities. You will continuously expand your technical expertise while contributing to innovative technologies for renewable energy, transportation, industrial applications, and HVDC systems.
How you’ll make an impact

Develop and integrate electrical test systems for power semiconductor characterization and evaluation

Lead the design of solutions for high-power testing applications

Commission, troubleshoot, and optimize laboratory test equipment

Collaborate with R&D teams to support product development and validation

Integrate measurement systems, sensors, power supplies, and automation solutions

Define system requirements and coordinate activities with external partners

Investigate equipment failures and support root cause analysis activities

Create technical documentation, specifications, and test procedures
Your background

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering,Power Electronics or a related field

Experience in system engineering, hardware integration, or test engineering

Solid understanding of power electronics and electrical measurement systems

Hands-on experience with commissioning, troubleshooting, and laboratory equipment

Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and technical drawings

Strong communication skills and fluency in English
