City Green Winterthur plans, maintains and manages the green and open spaces, the forest, the Bruderhaus wildlife park, the five cemeteries as well as the crematorium of the garden city Winterthur. Our services are central to the quality of the garden city Winterthur as a residential and business location.Your Tasks
- Leading groups of 5-8 employees with the aim of differentiated and sustainable care of green and open spaces
- Representing the head gardener in their absence. (Personnel and reporting matters, customer contacts, general correspondence and client representation)
- Planning and organising all maintenance work as well as garden alterations and renovation work
- Competent and safe operation of general maintenance and construction machinery
- Assisting in the development and implementation of area-specific projects
Your Profile
- Completed apprenticeship as a gardener EFZ specialising in garden and landscape construction with appropriate further training to foreman / head gardener, prior knowledge of nature-oriented garden care desired
- Leadership experience and organisational skills as well as several years of experience in green space maintenance
- Teamwork skills, high independence and role model behaviour
- High safety and risk awareness and ability to solve challenges systematically
- Driving licence category BE
