With the federal diploma "Operations Manager in Facility Management HF" you receive, without additional costs or further expenses, the nationally recognised certificate as a vocational trainer. With this certificate, you can supervise the practical training of apprentices in all vocational apprenticeships.
The professional profile of certified Operations Managers in Facility Management HF (short BFM) is versatile and agile. They take on specialist and managerial responsibility within facility management: this includes personnel management and the business and professional management of the areas of cleaning, laundry services and catering. BFMs also organise events, manage rooms and lead project groups. As members of management, they develop concepts and ideas within the framework of corporate strategy.
Training options: Full-time training lasts 3 years without relevant prior education, 2 years with prior education as a hotel and domestic management specialist or hotel specialist. Part-time training lasts 4 years without relevant prior education, 3 years with prior education. Training content includes leadership, facility services, management, key competencies and project management.
Admission: Federal VET Diploma (EFZ) or another qualification at secondary level II. Persons without a secondary level II qualification who are at least 25 years old can apply for admission.
Costs: Semester fees CHF 1600 to 1900, registration fee CHF 150, additional costs approx. CHF 500 per semester.
Dates: The course starts each August. The admission procedure takes place continuously.

Perspectives: BFMs work in the management of hospitals, social institutions, in the hotel and catering industry as well as in other private or public service companies. The professional field is becoming more agile, processes more digital, BFMs are central management personnel.
