Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced individual as Project Manager Planning Structural Engineering to manage demanding construction projects from development to realisation. You will lead interdisciplinary planning teams, coordinate clients, specialist planners, authorities and construction management and ensure the achievement of project goals regarding quality, costs and deadlines. In addition to classic planning management, you will take responsibility for BIM-based project management processes as well as the coordination of design, execution and detailed planning. The diverse project portfolio includes in particular residential and commercial buildings, renovations as well as demanding hospitality and accommodation projects.
Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility for planning, structuring and managing demanding structural engineering projects across all relevant planning phases
Leadership and coordination of architects, specialist planners, specialists and other planning partners
Management of interfaces between clients, planning, authorities, construction management and executing companies
Definition and monitoring of project milestones, plan delivery dates and decision-making processes
Ensuring project goals regarding planning quality, costs, deadlines and feasibility
Coordination and quality assurance of design, project, approval, execution and detailed plans
Conducting plan reviews and approvals as well as ensuring consistent interdisciplinary planning
Management and further development of BIM project management and coordination processes
Support of building permit procedures and coordination with municipal and cantonal authorities
Development and review of construction and detailed solutions considering technical and economic requirements
Organisation and leadership of planning and coordination meetings including decision, pending and information management
Ensuring planning according to relevant SIA standards, Swiss building legislation and project-specific quality standards
Qualifications:
Degree as architect or civil engineer ETH/FH, certified technician HF construction planning, federally certified construction manager structural engineering or comparable qualification
Several years of experience in planning or overall project management of larger structural engineering projects in Switzerland
Sound knowledge in project planning, execution planning and interdisciplinary planning coordination
Experience with BIM processes and digital planning coordination as well as good CAD skills, preferably ArchiCAD
Sound knowledge of relevant SIA standards, Swiss building legislation and approval procedures
Confident handling of Microsoft 365 / MS Office and digital project management tools
Good to very good German language skills spoken and written
