Job Description
You will join the 8FL unit, a 14-bed unit dedicated to general internal medicine, welcoming patients in gastroenterology, dermatology, maxillofacial surgery, and hand surgery, and you will provide personalized and comprehensive nursing care autonomously and under medical delegation, in a preventive, curative, and palliative manner to patients of all ages and in situations with varying levels of complexity.
As a proactive person with good stress and priority management, you know how to analyze clinical situations and adapt to the context as well as unforeseen events. Thanks to your organizational skills, you handle the unexpected inherent in the activity of a care unit, especially receiving patients with chronic pathologies.
Your clinical judgment is well developed. You are committed to the quality of care and guide your care decisions to ensure safe care.
Your ability to work constructively with your colleagues and partners allows you to strengthen interprofessional dynamics. You know how to welcome different viewpoints, encourage knowledge sharing, and contribute to a respectful and positive work environment.
You demonstrate rigor both in the execution of care and in communications to ensure optimal continuity of care. Your sense of precision and attention to detail are essential assets in an environment where safety and reliability are paramount.
You actively participate in the supervision and clinical teaching of new nursing staff and other health professionals. Driven by a spirit of continuous learning, you keep your practices up to date and contribute to the constant improvement of care quality. Finally, your interpersonal skills enable you to establish a trusting relationship with patients, considered true partners in their care.
Qualifications
You hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or an equivalent recognized qualification by the Swiss Red Cross.
You have or plan to undertake a CAS-type training in wounds and healing.
You have at least 5 years of experience in medicine or surgery, ideally in both fields, and possess good knowledge of V.A.C. dressings. Previous experience in dermatology is also an asset.
You have excellent command of the French language, both spoken and written.
Ideally, you have a trainer qualification or an interest in training.
You have leadership skills, such as the ability to quickly assess situations and make informed decisions, conflict resolution skills, know-how to encourage and motivate team members, as well as flexibility in the face of change.
