Medical Assistant for our Pre-Anaesthetic Consultation at 90%
Key information about the position:
Reference: CLS/RH/2026.772 / Contract type: Permanent contract at 90% (1 variable day off every 2 weeks) / Hours: Monday to Friday according to 2 schedules: 7:45am-4:45pm / 8:00am-5:00pm / Start date: as soon as we find the right person / Location: in the heart of Lausanne (M2 stop "Riponne" or Bus 2, 3 or 21 stop "Beaulieu-Jomini")
Why do we need you?
To support the activity of our Pre-Anaesthetic Consultation, we are looking for a Medical Assistant who will help provide each patient with calm, personalised and quality care. As a true interface between patients, anaesthetist doctors and external partners, you will work within a committed team where your technical expertise, organisational skills and interpersonal abilities will make a difference.
What will you be expected to do?
- Ensure the physical and telephone reception of patients, their relatives and various contacts, while guaranteeing professional and caring support.
- Organise and coordinate pre-anaesthetic consultation appointments.
- Compile, check and prepare patients' medical files.
- Assist anaesthetist doctors during consultations and contribute to the smooth running of care.
- Perform medical-technical acts within the competencies of the medical assistant, including blood sampling, electrocardiograms (ECG), Uricult, urine sticks and nasopharyngeal swabs, on prescription or medical request (about 10% of the activity).
- Ensure the entry of services for billing purposes.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail as well as the dispatch of files to prescribing practices.
- Oversee the management of medical equipment and consumables stock, ensure their replenishment and place necessary orders.

What do we expect from you?
Essentials:
- Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) as Medical Assistant or equivalent recognised training in Switzerland.
- Experience in a role combining reception, administrative management and medical-technical acts.
- Proficiency in blood sampling, electrocardiograms (ECG) and other technical acts within the medical assistant's competencies.
- Excellent organisational, planning and priority management skills.
- Service-oriented, good interpersonal skills and ability to establish a climate of trust with patients.
- Rigour, autonomy and discretion in managing medical information.
- Comfortable with IT tools and patient file management software.
- Excellent command of French, both spoken and written.
Your assets:
- Experience in pre-anaesthetic consultation, anaesthesia or in a hospital or clinic environment.
- Knowledge of the patient pathway in ambulatory surgery or operating theatre.
- Proficiency with the DPI, electronic patient record (Clevehr) and/or medical billing software (Opale).
- Knowledge of one or more foreign languages, especially English.
- Team spirit, flexibility and adaptability.
