What is this position about?
You lead an international team, are responsible for the global technical and compliance alignment of welding and testing technology, and further develop standards and technologies. In addition, you advance new welding technologies to production maturity and ensure worldwide technology transfer.
What tasks will you undertake?
- You lead a team of up to eight employees both technically and disciplinarily and promote their professional and personal development.
- You bear the global technical and compliance responsibility for welding and testing technology and continuously develop methods, standards, and governance of the specialist area.
- You develop new welding technologies as well as the necessary processes and plant systems and accompany their introduction in our global production network.
- You support our international sites through targeted technology transfer as well as engineering and production support and ensure the sustainable implementation of global standards.
What do we expect from you?
- You have a completed technical degree as well as a qualification as an International Welding Engineer (IWE).
- You bring several years of leadership experience in an industrial environment and know how to lead and develop teams purposefully.
- You have solid experience in welding manufacturing as well as comprehensive knowledge of relevant standards, norms, and regulations.
- You convince with high technical competence, entrepreneurial thinking, and a pronounced hands-on mentality.
- You communicate confidently in German and English and move confidently in an international environment. International travel of around 10% is naturally part of this role for you.
