The city of Illnau-Effretikon - located between Winterthur and Zurich - offers attractive conditions for the approximately 18,000 inhabitants with its rural and urban areas, hamlets, centers, and the historic village of Kyburg.
The City Bailiff and Debt Collection Office is organizationally attached to the city administration of Illnau-Effretikon and enforces debt collection law in the city of Illnau-Effretikon and the municipality of Lindau.
As of March 1, 2026, or by agreement, we are looking for a team-oriented personality as
YOUR TASKS IN THIS POSITION ARE:
- Handling the entire debt collection process - from the seizure announcement to realization/closure, including enforcement of arrests and retentions
- Performing city bailiff duties, such as evictions, monitoring house searches, issuing official certifications, enforcing judicial orders, recording official findings
- Telephone and personal contact with internal and external contacts
- Independent management of a seizure area
YOUR PROFILE FITS PERFECTLY IF YOU:
- Have a commercial basic education or professional experience in a comparable function.
- Are willing to further educate yourself in the field of debt collection or already have knowledge of debt collection and civil law
- Are a team player with strong communication skills and resilience.
- Bring high social competence and assertiveness.
- Possess a category B driving license.
