For our global headquarters in Pfäffikon/SZ, we are looking for an experienced mechanical engineer to strengthen our development team. In this role, you will take responsibility for the development, design and validation of mechanical systems and components. You will accompany the entire product lifecycle – from the idea and prototypes to series production and continuous improvement. In doing so, you will work closely with application specialists and other experts in an interdisciplinary project team.
Additionally, as deputy team leader, you will take responsibility in the mechanical development team by supporting the Head of Mechanical Engineering in operational matters, independently driving topics forward and actively contributing to structural and process issues.

YOUR TASKS

• Development and design of mechanical assemblies and individual parts
• Creation of 3D models and technical drawings using 3D CAD (SolidEdge)
• Support in the laboratory for prototype validation
• Support in the transfer to production (industrialisation)
• Documentation and maintenance of technical documents as well as creation of parts lists
• Coordination of product care topics and independent handling of operational issues in collaboration with purchasing, quality and production
• Deputising for the Head of Mechanical Engineering during absences to ensure smooth day-to-day business

WHAT YOU BRING

• Degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical field (ETH/University/FH or equivalent)
• Several years of experience in mechanical design and development in an industrial or product-oriented environment
• Very good CAD skills (e.g. SolidEdge or comparable) as well as experience in designing and implementing manufacturing-friendly constructions
• Practical experience with prototyping, testing and validation
• High level of personal responsibility and the ability to independently take on and drive topics forward
• Communicative, team-oriented personality with a hands-on mentality
• Very good German and English skills
