Initial Situation
For a well-known forwarding company with a larger customs department, we are looking for a skilled professional from the declarant business. Specifically, someone who is keen to lead a team of 4-5 people.

Tasks
lead the team in a professional capacity (approx. 7 employees)
discuss and plan holidays and absences ("workload management" within the team)
conduct employee appraisals (together with the department head)
carry out import customs declarations (little export)
obtain customs clearance instructions
initiate corrections
monitor rebookings/settlements
maintain contacts with customers/customs authorities
perform general commercial tasks
Requirements
extensive experience as a customs declarant import
(initial) teamlead experience desired
IT
Word and Excel: good user skills
Passar/E-Dec Import: good knowledge
ATLAS: an advantage (nice to have)
Languages
German: spoken and written very good
English: an advantage (at forwarding level)

from approx. 28 to 55 years
