Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Engineer 50%
Background:
The Pharma Engineering Solutions department is looking for an MES Engineer for the Basel site.
We offer our internal customers / plant operators in the areas of Research & Development, Launch & Market Production as well as Packaging, Warehouse, Logistics at the Basel and Kaiseraugst sites professional engineering services.
In general, our tasks include the planning, realisation and operational engineering of the production facilities in the respective area.
With the MES team, we support production at Basel Biotech Manufacturing and Basel Small Molecule Manufacturing.
In addition to supporting ongoing production, the MES team is also responsible for the further development of the MES systems. We see ourselves as a support unit to assist production and upcoming projects with our know-how.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- You are responsible for document management in the MES team, i.e. you create the required documentation and ensure the currency of SOPs and risk analyses.
- Together with the MES team, you ensure the administration and operation of the MES system. This also includes error analysis, problem solving and on-call service.
- You analyse new requirements for the MES system together with our internal business partner and help implement an optimal solution.
- Participation and support in Change Control Management and qualification and/or validation activities according to Roche internal guidelines.
Must Haves:
- Completed studies in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent
- At least 3 years of professional experience as a system engineer and experience in supporting MES systems
- Broad understanding of data integrity requirements and IT architecture
- Sound knowledge of GMP, compliance and computer system validation
- Experience and motivation for creating documents and risk analyses, as well as document management
- Very good German and good English skills are required
- Customer- and result-oriented, team player with very good communication and organisational skills
- Enthusiasm as well as independent, customer-oriented working style
Nice to Have:
- Siemens Simatic IT MES knowledge / Siemens OpCenter Pharma MES knowledge
- Knowledge of automation systems (Siemens PCS7)
- PI / OsiSoft knowledge
- Experience in supporting MES systems for automated production of biotechnological products
