In January 2026, Senevita Birsgarten will open in Reinach/BL. We offer a total of 88 care places (22 protected units), 52 apartments for assisted living, and a restaurant in an idyllic location with very good public transport connections. Sous Chef / Deputy Kitchen Manager 100%

You will play a key role in implementing processes to establish services and quality at the highest level. You can expect a new and modern working environment, as well as the opportunity to sustainably shape and influence your team and the home for our residents.
Your Tasks
- Designing menu plans with fresh and seasonal products for our restaurant and care departments (residents, external guests, and staff)
- Adhering to the hygiene concept and the regulations of the federal food ordinance
- Responsibility for inventory management (goods receipt/check, storage, preparation)
- Coordinating all processes with the head chef
- Taking over or assisting in the supervision and support of apprentices
- Process-oriented thinking and careful working methods
- Cooking and pampering our residents and guests daily with fresh meals
- Independently preparing both cold and hot dishes
- Being confident and unflinching during special events and banquets, even on a larger scale
What We Expect
- Completed training as a cook with a federal diploma (EFZ), ideally with further education
- Several years of leadership experience (preferably in the healthcare sector)
- Experience in dietetic cooking, ideally training as a diet cook
- Flexible, resilient, and team-oriented personality
- High professional, social, and self-competence
- Strong quality awareness, enjoyment of fresh products, passion, and creativity
- Good MS Office skills (Excel, Word) and gastro systems/programs
- Good German language skills, both spoken and written
