Exciting tasks await:
- Responsibility for the operation and further development of our complex, highly available database landscape
- You follow current trends, contribute them and thus help to create a flexible, future-proof IT infrastructure
- Active participation in shaping the IT security architecture of our DBMS systems
- Close collaboration with our development teams, IT services and suppliers
What you bring:
- Completed studies in computer science, IT security or a comparable qualification (e.g. HF, FH or university). Certifications in the field of databases or data engineering are an advantage
- Several years of practical experience with highly available MS SQL Server systems, ideally complemented by PostgreSQL knowledge or willingness to acquire it
- Experience with ETL processes and agile development methods
- Expertise in the design, development and maintenance of solutions on Power platforms (Power Apps, Power BI) or motivation to acquire these skills
- Independent and solution-oriented working style, team spirit and strong communication skills
- Very good German and good English skills

Your working environment
The Department of Finance and Resources with around 650 employees is a cross-sectional department responsible for ensuring that the canton has the necessary resources to fulfil its tasks.
IT solutions facilitate daily work and make it more efficient. The employees of the
Informatics Aargau department contribute to increasing the efficiency of the cantonal administration. They are responsible for the strategy and operation of central IT. They accompany major cantonal projects and ensure powerful and modern IT solutions that enable the public to have uncomplicated contact and exchange with the cantonal administrative offices.
