About the job
The gaw Society for Work and Living is a non-profit organisation with heart and principles. Since 1987, we have been supporting people with mental health challenges on their path to a self-determined life – with around 230 work and training places and 35 residential places in the Basel region.
We are looking immediately or by arrangement for a committed and professionally skilled individual to take on the management of one of our residential homes. Our housing offer is aimed at adults with mental illness who require a supportive, safe and resource-oriented living environment.
Your mission:
- Overall management of the residential home with professional, organisational and personnel responsibility
- Leadership, coaching and further development of the interdisciplinary team
- Ensuring professional, individual support for the residents
- Implementation and further development of our care and support concept
- Responsibility for quality assurance, administration, documentation and crisis management
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with external specialist agencies, relatives and doctors
- Participation in day-to-day operations
What we are looking for:
- Completed psychiatric, social pedagogical or comparable professional training (nurse FF/HF with a focus on psychiatry, e.g. social pedagogy FH/HF or equivalent qualification)
- Solid psychiatric expertise and confident experience in dealing with people with mental illnesses
- Several years of professional experience in a leadership or supportive role in the social psychiatric field
- High social competence, crisis resilience, clear communication skills and a sense of humour
- Enjoyment of leadership tasks and the further development of team and concepts
- Structured, resilient personality with high professionalism and empathy
