In this versatile role, you will take responsibility for Group Reporting in OneStream, VAT returns, general ledger postings for Coperion K-Tron Switzerland as well as other smaller companies. You will also be responsible for fixed assets, banks, project controlling, SOX controls and the maintenance of finance-relevant master data. In doing so, you will work closely with the Head of Finance.
Your main tasks:
- Coordination, preparation and support of internal and external audits (SOX, EY, tax audits)
- Timely and accurate monthly closings and reporting according to US GAAP and local accounting standards for the Swiss company as well as subsidiaries in EMEA and the USA in OneStream
- Preparation of forecasts and support in financial planning
- Timely tax and VAT declarations in cooperation with external specialists (Switzerland, Germany, Great Britain and France)
- Support of accounts receivable and accounts payable accounting on site as well as in the Shared Service Centre
- Responsibility for intercompany invoicing, commissions and IC reconciliations
- Monitoring of receivables management including assessment of allowances for doubtful accounts
- Execution and control of creditor payments as well as liquidity forecasts
- Reconciliation of goods receipts without invoicing (GR/IR)
- Maintenance of project accounting and support of project controlling in project activations, margin analyses and variance analyses
- Analysis of material cost variances, inventories and revenue deferrals as well as updating product costings
- Responsibility for finance-relevant master data such as chart of accounts, cost centres and business units
- Execution of account reconciliations as well as professional support of the Shared Service Centre
- Handling of ad hoc requests for Group Finance, management and project management
- Key user for the leasing management tool
- Reconciliation of payroll accounting between HR and ERP systems
- Participation in projects and taking on further operational finance tasks
Your profile:
- Several years of professional experience in international accounting and finance
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance & Accounting or further training in accounting with a Swiss federal diploma
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
- Excellent Excel skills
- Structured, precise and reliable working style with a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to coordinate several priorities and projects simultaneously
- Analytical thinking and interest in process optimisation
- Team-oriented personality with strong communication skills
- Experience working with international and virtual teams
- Experience in the audit environment (Big Four) is an advantage
