Consultant Fertilisation and Nutrient Management
To strengthen our Soil and Fertilisation department, we are looking for a committed individual at the Lindau location.
Your tasks
- You advise agricultural businesses on the planned use and measurement of farmyard manure (slurry, manure, compost) within the framework of operational nutrient management
- You manage the nitrate projects in the canton of Zurich and act as an important interface between agriculture and groundwater protection
- You plan, accompany and evaluate practice-oriented trials on fertiliser use and nutrient efficiency in cooperation with agricultural businesses
- You actively network theory and practice through organising specialist events, occasional participation in teaching and supervising student work
Your profile
- Training as a master farmer, HF Agrotechnology or BSc/Master in Agronomy or a related field of study
- Sound knowledge and practical experience in agriculture; experience in arable farming and the environmental sector is an advantage or motivation to develop specifically in these areas
- Strong social, methodological and self-competence as well as enjoyment in exchanging with agricultural businesses
- Enthusiasm for the education and training of farmers
If suitable and interested, there is the possibility to teach in basic education and/or higher vocational education.
