Vaudoise is one of the top ten private insurance companies in the Swiss market. Within the Life Insurance division, we offer a 6-month Master internship in actuarial science starting from February 2026 in Lausanne. In a dynamic and growing environment, you will participate in various actuarial tasks in coordination with the Life Product Development team. This activity includes a Master’s thesis which consists of developing a calculation tool in Python based on a generalized life insurance model applied to traditional capital-building products.
Your missions
The work notably includes the actuarial analysis and modeling of the product (calculation of premiums, benefits, reserves, surrender values, and contract changes), documentation work as well as Python development to:
Calculate the actuarial quantities of an offer and the different technical situations of a contract
Verify the accuracy of all actuarial quantities of the portfolio calculated by the management system
Control reserves and surrender values during annual closings and for technical support to management
Apply Vaudoise’s target model respecting the S.O.L.I.D. principles
Your qualifications
You are currently in the final year of a Master’s degree in Actuarial Sciences or an equivalent program.
You have excellent skills in mathematics and very good knowledge of VBA programming. Knowledge of Python would be highly appreciated.
Autonomous, you have good priority management and respect deadlines
You have excellent command of French. Good knowledge of English and German is an asset.
