Responsibilities

You will undergo a tailored internal training program that supports you on the path to becoming a signal mechanic. In the process, you will further develop your skills and acquire extensive knowledge for your new role.

We are looking for you as a signal mechanic (m/f/d) for DB InfraGO AG in Buchholz in der Nordheide, Hamburg-Harburg, or Seevetal as soon as possible. As part of a qualification, you will initially start as a skilled worker in the field of control and safety technology. In the first 18 months with us, you will go through several development steps until you reach the target position of signal mechanic. Beyond that, you can continue to develop professionally.

Already during your qualification, you will take on the following tasks:

You are responsible for the maintenance of a variety of different systems in the field of control and safety technology, with a focus on inspection, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical components, e.g., signals, switches, level crossings.

Using modern measuring devices, you record and assess the condition of the systems and are responsible for the technical documentation.

You usually perform the tasks in your regional area in a team, independently, and reliably.

Your work begins and ends daily at your central base.

You go through our internal qualification program, regularly attend further training, and continuously learn.

Qualifications

Your profile:

You have successfully completed training in electrical engineering, e.g., as an electrician, mechatronics technician, electrical specialist in industry, electronics technician for operational technology, or automation technology.

After comprehensive onboarding, you are ready to participate in the rotating on-call duty (every 4-5 weeks).

You don't mind working outdoors, as many of our systems are located in the track area.

You always work reliably, are a team player, and flexible.

A valid class B driver's license is an advantage.

Applications from already trained signal mechanics and switch mechanics are of course also welcome.
