The apprenticeship lasts 4 years and leads to the federal certificate of competence (CFC).
Theoretical training:
Courses are held at the Professional School of Craft Community Service (EPASC) in Martigny, one or two days per week.
Practical training:
Practical training in the company takes place at CIMO, under the responsibility of a trainer.
Inter-company courses (CIE) take place at the Technical and Trade Professional School (EPTM) in Sion.
As part of your apprenticeship, you will discover four options of the profession: piping, boilermaking, locksmithing, and plastics.
In these 4 areas, you will take measurements, create unique parts according to 2D and 3D models, use advanced machines (CNC, robot, etc.), perform welding using different processes, manufacture supports, and install them on various sites.
The core of the profession consists of planning and carrying out installations as well as complex parts and industrial equipment.
