The research and application focuses of Prof. Reinecke's team lie particularly in the areas of strategic marketing management, marketing controlling, and active price management.
The Institute for Marketing and Customer Insight (IMC) is seeking a research associate by arrangement. The position is linked with the opportunity to pursue a doctorate at the University of St.Gallen (HSG) under Prof. Dr. Sven Reinecke
Your tasks
A key focus of your role will be the editorial management of the trade journal "Marketing Review St.Gallen," which examines current marketing topics from the perspectives of theory and practice. In close coordination with the editors, you will coordinate the double-blind review and publication process. Furthermore, you will oversee various research and management projects, especially within the framework of the excellence programme "Best Practice in Marketing" (current partners include Hansgrohe, Bühler, John Deere, Sika,
B.Braun, Geberit). You will contribute to the publication of relevant research findings in international scientific journals.
Your profile
You bring with you
- Very well completed university degree (Master's) in business administration, economics, or industrial engineering (grade 5.0 or better according to the Swiss grading system, or grade 2.0 or better according to the German grading system)
- Solid knowledge in marketing or strategic management and ideally some initial professional experience
- Interest in scientific and practice-relevant issues and initial experience in applying quantitative (surveys, experiments) and/or qualitative research methods
- Enjoyment in taking on responsibility, organisational talent, as well as a high degree of initiative and flexibility
- Very good language skills (German and English)
- Enjoyment of editorial work as well as a structured and punctual working style
