Mission
Within this role, attached to the Watchmaking Division, you will be responsible for performing the operations of collet fitting, stud fitting and shaping of the hairspring on all types of steel balance springs (flat and with Breguet curve from 1839 to present) according to Patek Philippe quality criteria. At the same time, you will be the guarantor of the expertise on steel hairsprings which you will pass on through training sessions.
Responsibilities
- Traditionally perform the operations of collet fitting, stud fitting and shaping of the hairspring (flat hairspring or with Breguet curve).
- Ensure the aesthetic, technical and dimensional control of the balance spring to guarantee its conformity according to our quality criteria.
- Carry out the necessary analyses and studies to reproduce hairsprings for historical pieces.
- Transmit your expertise through training to support watchmakers in acquiring the skills necessary for trades related to hairsprings and regulating organs.
Profile sought
- Federal Certificate of Capacity (CFC) as Watchmaker or equivalent training.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the production of steel balance springs.
- Proven mastery of traditional hairspring techniques.
- In-depth knowledge of movements and regulating organs.
- High manual dexterity and precision in movement.
- Ease in communicating constructively.
- Experience in training pedagogy and transmission of expertise.
- Excellent analytical skills, rigor, autonomy and sense of responsibility.
