Specialist caregiver in the dementia department

Your tasks

Promoting identity, self-efficacy, and orientation in people with dementia
Dealing with challenging behavior (e.g., wandering off, restlessness, aggression) considering psychological, social, and physical causes
Performing basic care measures such as body care, dressing and undressing, mobilization, nutrition, and excretion according to individual care needs
Recognizing and reporting health changes or risk situations to the qualified nursing staff
Planning and conducting everyday and meaningful activities, both in individual care and in groups
Close collaboration with qualified nursing professionals, doctors, therapists, pastoral care, relatives, and hospitality
Maintaining care documentation according to guidelines (e.g., care reports, observations, service recording)
Participating in the implementation of new care concepts (e.g., self-care principle, SCARF model, oasis care)
Implementing internal quality standards and concepts in the area of dementia care and nursing

What you bring with you

Completed vocational training as a specialist caregiver EFZ
Ideally experience in dementia
Experience in gerontopsychiatric nursing (desirable)
Ability for professional communication and relationship work
Solution-oriented and high sense of responsibility
Physical and mental resilience
Computer skills
