The Cantonal Social Office, with over 280 employees, takes on diverse, steering, and operational tasks primarily in social assistance, social insurance, social services, and the asylum sector at the interface between the federal government, other cantons, cities, municipalities, and various private organizations. It also operates its own facility, tilia, located in Rheinau, which has over 124 residential and employment places, divided into 13 living groups and 5 workshop areas. The locations are Rheinau, Winterthur, Embrach, and Freienstein.

The Holder living group is conceptually designed for the care of residents with varying degrees of intellectual and/or mental disabilities and complex behaviors such as external and self-aggression. The residents require help and support in all areas of life. It has 8 places for individuals who need highly structured, closely monitored, pedagogical care.

For this living group, we are looking for a caregiver 90% starting October 1, 2025, or by agreement.

Your main tasks

• You support and accompany the residents in daily structure and in coping with crises and exceptional situations in closely monitored, pedagogical care.
• You create corresponding support plans and reports within the work of the key persons, ensure process-oriented implementation, and regularly review them in location and case discussions.
• You organize activities with the residents and maintain contact with relatives and third parties.
• You promote the residents in all personal and practical life matters, in shaping the coexistence within the living group, as well as in maintaining social contacts and performing household activities.

Your skills and talents

• You have a degree as a social educator (FH/HF), as a qualified nurse, as a caregiver, or an equivalent qualification.
• You have professional experience working with people with intellectual and/or mental disabilities.
• You are responsible, resilient, proactive, and possess organizational talent as well as high social competence.
• You can handle challenging and complex care situations, are not afraid of care tasks, and enjoy working independently.
• You are communicative, have proficient PC skills, and a good written expression.
