About the job
The Hospitals of Schaffhausen include the Cantonal Hospital, the Psychiatric Services, the Radiology and Cardiology Posthof Neuhausen practices, as well as the Neurology Practice Schaffhausen Centre. With over 1,700 employees, we ensure the extended medical and nursing primary care of the Schaffhausen region. Each year, we care for approximately 11,000 inpatients and 90,000 outpatients. Additionally, we are an important training centre in the canton.
To complement the pneumology team, we are looking for a Senior Physician / Consultant in Pneumology 80-100% to start immediately or by arrangement.
The Medical Clinic cares for 3,500 inpatients and 6,000 outpatients annually. The range of services includes broad general internal medicine as well as extended primary care in the fields of angiology, endocrinology/diabetology, gastroenterology, nephrology, cardiology, neurology, oncology, and pneumology/sleep medicine. The Pneumology Department offers a wide range of pneumological examination and treatment methods for inpatients and outpatients, including sleep medicine. We are an FMH training clinic of category B for pneumology.

- Patient-oriented and independent management of the outpatient pneumology clinic (supervision available)
- Basic pneumological care including sleep clinic, bronchoscopies/EBUS and pleural interventions
- Consultative co-management of inpatient pneumological patients
- Supervision of pneumology and internal medicine assistant doctors
- Participation in the internal medicine on-call service
- Involvement in the continuing education and training programme
