Production Manager / Plant Manager (m/f/d)

For our valued client, a successful industrial company in the Zurich metropolitan area, we are seeking a strong leader with an entrepreneurial mindset as Production Manager / Plant Manager.

In this key role, you will take responsibility for a production site with around 40 employees and actively shape the further development of processes, organisation, and corporate culture.

Your Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for production planning and on-time manufacturing
• Leadership, development, and deployment planning of around 40 employees, including 4-5 foremen
• Ensuring quality, productivity, and occupational safety
• Project management for the design and implementation of a new site near the current plant
• Responsibility for maintenance, servicing, and availability of the machinery
• Continuous optimisation of processes, workflows, and resource utilisation
• Co-design of digitalisation and optimisation projects
• Promotion of a high-performance and customer-oriented team culture
• Responsibility for the in-house production control (WPK) according to EN 1090-1
• Close collaboration with engineering, sales, production planning, and management

Your Profile

• Technical basic training with further education at HF/FH level in mechanical engineering, production, or industrial engineering
• Several years of leadership and production experience in an industrial environment
• Experience in the metalworking industry, mechanical engineering, or a comparable sector
• Very good understanding of production processes and their optimisation
• Digital affinity and enthusiasm for automation and digitalisation projects
• Knowledge of quality management, ideally in the EN 1090 environment
• Fluent German, French skills are an advantage
