at the Territorial Development Service in Sion

The Territorial Development Service has the overall mission of ensuring the coordination of human activities with territorial impact by planning the evolution of the cantonal territory and supporting the stakeholders.

Your tasks

• You contribute to the implementation and development of the cantonal master plan, particularly regarding inter-municipal collaboration projects (agglomeration projects, inter-municipal master plans, etc.)
• You contribute to the evolution of cantonal legal bases
• You contribute, according to the different roles of the TDS (steering, coordination, support), to the development of planning instruments (plans, reports, regulations) at federal, cantonal, inter-municipal and municipal levels as well as guides, recommendations or baseline studies
• You prepare opinions within the framework of consultation procedures on files, from the perspective of legality and appropriateness
• You advise, based on an analysis of their part, the municipalities and their representatives (town planners, architects, etc.) and third parties (owners, companies, etc.) in their reflections on planning instruments
• You ensure the coherence of projects with territorial impact and the conformity of planning instruments with federal and cantonal laws, as well as federal sectoral plans and the cantonal master plan
• You ensure coordination between the various partners (Federal Offices, municipalities, representatives, State services) in the processing or development of planning instruments

Your profile

• You hold a university degree in geography, engineering, architecture or an equivalent qualification
• You have several years of experience in a private office or administration
• You have a sense of interdisciplinary collaboration and teamwork, as well as autonomy and initiative
• You are capable of conceptual and analytical thinking
• You are willing to develop your specific skills
• You are stress-resistant and not unsettled by the difficult conditions of a constantly evolving environment
• Good knowledge of planning methods and GIS is an asset
• You speak French or German with very good knowledge of the second official language
