As part of your duties, you will carry out the following tasks, among others:- Purchasing/disposition of raw, auxiliary and operating materials as well as semi-finished and finished products, capital goods and services taking into account demand, developments in the procurement market and cost/quality requirements
- Creation and further development of article structures with, if necessary, target quantity determination and their timely tendering as well as professional evaluation with price and condition negotiation
- Monitoring of order processing with delivery date tracking, complaint handling and checking the functionality of goods and services
- Systematic supplier selection, continuous market observation, as well as the permanent submission of supplier proposals to reduce costs and improve quality taking into account the entire supply chain
- Participation in the purchasing budget and responsibility for monitoring/compliance with the budget as well as timely coordination with the purchasing management & controlling.
- Close cooperation with the purchasing management as well as representing it in case of absence
- Ensuring general office organization with purchasing documentation, invoice control and internal communication/information concerning the functional area
- a successfully completed business degree in hospitality and/or appropriate further training in purchasing is desirable
- several years of professional experience in international, operational purchasing in the hotel industry are a prerequisite
- personally, you are characterized by your independent, structured and result-oriented way of working combined with the ability to reconcile operational requirements and economic goals
- teamwork skills and excellent communication competence as well as a confident, poised and professional appearance
- in addition to your business fluent German skills, you are proficient in English, both spoken and written
- confident and secure handling of MS Office programs as well as good knowledge of merchandise management programs
