Construction Manager Building Construction (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF105,000 - 110,000Role:
On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced professional for the management and realisation of demanding building construction projects in the Basel region. You will take operational responsibility on site and manage deadlines, costs, quality and execution throughout the relevant realisation phases. Your main tasks include cost estimation, construction accounting, cost control and local site management as well as coordinating the involved companies and specialist planners. The project execution takes place in a modern, digitally oriented planning environment using VDC (Virtual Design and Construction).
Responsibilities:
Assuming local site management for building construction projects of varying size and complexity
Creating, monitoring and continuously updating rough, detailed and construction schedules and ensuring agreed deadlines are met
Conducting cost estimation and tendering including specifications, offer comparisons and award preparations
Responsibility for construction accounting, cost control and cost forecasts during the realisation phase
Coordinating and leading contractors, specialist planners and other project participants on site
Conducting construction meetings, taking minutes and consistently following up on pending issues and decisions
Controlling execution quality and ensuring compliance with contracts, execution plans, SIA standards and Swiss building regulations
Reviewing contractor invoices, change orders and measurements and supporting awarding and contract management
Organising and accompanying acceptances, defect management and commissioning up to handover of the building
Using Messerli construction administration and MS Project for cost, schedule and construction administration
Contributing to an integral and digital project execution according to VDC principles in the planning and realisation phases
Qualifications:
Education as Architect FH/ETH, Civil Engineer FH/ETH, Draftsman EFZ specialising in Architecture or a basic craft education with further training in construction/site management HF
Several years of professional experience in site management of building construction projects in Switzerland
Sound knowledge in cost estimation, tendering, construction accounting and cost control
Good knowledge of relevant SIA standards, Swiss construction processes and contract law basics
Practical experience with Messerli construction administration and MS Project
Confident handling of Microsoft Excel, Word and other Microsoft 365 applications
Knowledge of VDC (Virtual Design and Construction) and digital planning and realisation processes is an advantage
