The Office for the Environment (AFU) is committed to careful handling of the environment and sustainable use of natural resources. The Soil and Material Cycle Department is responsible for enforcing environmental protection regulations at contaminated sites, in soil protection, waste facilities, agricultural construction projects, material extraction sites, as well as road and hydraulic engineering projects.
